You will need the following materials:
- brushes,
- oil paints,
- linseed oil or solvent (for diluting paints),
- palette,
- canvas coated with primer (sold in specialized stores).
Creative process.
1. Outline the outline of the chickens, the boundaries of which on the inside should remain intact. Mix dark mars brown and light colors cadmium yellow and cadmium red. Add whitewash at the very end and in portions.
2. Paint the top of the canvas with the same rich color. Thin paints as needed.
3. Move on to writing the folds of the fabric and the bottom of the background. Mix cadmium yellow (not dark), light ocher and white on the palette.
4. To paint the chickens, add more yellow and white to the last group of paints. This combination of colors will give a feeling of lightness. Use an almost dry brush to paint the “fluff” along the outline of the chickens. Draw dark feathers by adding light ocher and brown mars. Pay attention to the eyes and beaks.
5. Move on to detailing the background.Mix the color ultramarine light with emerald green and carbon black. Mix in a little white at the very end. In those areas of green foliage where you need to add lighter shades, use yellow, but in doses.
6. Complete the flowers using a combination of white, cadmium red and cadmium yellow in light and medium tones, respectively.
7. Draw the paws using a balanced combination of ocher, white, light shades of cadmium yellow and cadmium red.
8. Proceed to drawing the foreground. Cadmium yellow medium and light ocher should be mixed with white, then dilute the paints a little.
9. Add a little dark brown mars and gas soot to the last combination of colors to paint the part of the box on the right.
10. Draw the flower on the right. The palette should contain a mixture of white, dark kraplak red, light colors of cadmium red and ultramarine. Draw the center of the flower using cadmium yellow medium.
11. Add a petal on the left. Take the same group of paints as described above, but add more dark red speck and white.
The picture is ready.
