Device and materials. The basis of a homemade tool is a tubular body equipped with a cutting part in the shape of a groove with pointed edges. A wooden handle is inserted from the back of the device, fixed with a screw through a hole in the tube.
A manual weed puller is made from a piece of metal pipe with a diameter of 25–40 mm. The working cylinder from a worn-out telescopic strut of a car is optimally suited for the workpiece - the product has thin walls made of durable steel. For the handle, use a piece of cutting or plan it from a birch block.

The procedure for making a weed remover
1) The steel tube is cut to length and marked according to the drawing.
2) Fix the workpiece and first make two longitudinal cuts with a grinder, then remove the excess metal using a transverse oblique cut.
3) Cut the end of the gutter at an angle of 35°, and remove the burrs with a flat file.
4) Sharpen the working parts from the inside; use a semicircular file to process the lower edge.
5) Drill a hole for the self-tapping screw and sand the product with sandpaper.
6) Place the body of the uprooter on a handle made of wood and tighten the fastening screw.
If desired, the metal part is primed and painted, and the wooden handle is varnished. Use of a hand puller. A homemade device allows you to remove weeds without destroying nearby earth layers and leaving the root systems of grown plants intact. To remove weeds, stick the uprooter by hand near the root and loosen the soil around the weed, slightly turning the tool away from you and toward you.
Slightly lifting the plant with the soil with the uprooter, cut the rhizome and remove it from the ground by hand.
The use of the considered device for removing weeds facilitates gardening work and allows weeding to be carried out faster and with better quality.
