Necessary materials:

Making beds
You need to draw a straight line on a 200 mm pipe and, using it as a guide, draw windows for planting strawberries. To ensure that they are the same, markings are best done using a paper template with a diameter of 170 mm.
The distance between the windows depends on the variety of strawberries chosen and is selected individually. Then, using a jigsaw or drill, the windows are cut out, while the walls of the socket must be left intact.
Next you need to assemble a root irrigation system. It uses a thin gray tube 40 mm.
Thin holes are made in it on one side to drain excess water. They can be drilled with a 2-3 mm drill or burned with a hot nail.
A coupling is installed on the orange pipe. Before doing this, it is better to lubricate the rubber band in it and the pipe itself with liquid soap, lard or oil. Then the coupling can fit without effort.
After this, a 200 mm plug is taken, and a hole is made in it closer to the edge for the socket of a 40 mm tube.
You also need to drill several holes near it to drain excess water. On the opposite edge from them, holes are made with a wider drill for ventilation. The modified cover is inserted into the coupling.
Next, an irrigation tube with a lid is inserted through the large hole in the plug. So that it does not turn, does not fall out, and the connection is airtight, it should be glued in with a glue gun. It is important that the holes in the irrigation tube should be positioned downwards.
On the other hand, a connecting coupling, an elbow, a regular coupling and a 50 mm adapter are placed on the irrigation pipe. In this case, a small hole is made in the wall of the socket of the orange pipe to allow the adapter to come out. Then you should plug the 200 mm pipe with a second cover.
How to plant strawberries
To plant strawberries in such a bed, you need to lay expanded clay on its bottom.
If it is not there, the soil will become compacted and root watering will not be able to work. After it, soil is filled in, as well as, if desired, perlite, humus or peat. Then the strawberries are planted.
To water, you need to pour about a bucket of water into the socket of the 40x50 mm adapter. For convenience, you can insert a homemade watering can from a 5 liter eggplant without a bottom into it. When watering, excess water will not stagnate, but will flow out through the drainage holes in the lid.
