Sausage in a mug

Sausage is very popular and loved by many. Some people can't imagine breakfast without a sausage sandwich. The stores now have a huge selection of sausages for every taste: from boiled to raw-cured, and for every budget. But it’s no secret that the composition of many of them leaves much to be desired. And I don’t really want to feed such a product to my children. Therefore, the only way out of this situation is by preparing the sausage yourself. You can prepare homemade sausage using a natural casing - casing, foil, cling film, ceramic mold, and even an ordinary glass or mug. Homemade sausage can be boiled or baked. And depending on the spices added, changing the amount of ingredients each time you can get sausage with completely different tastes. Even a novice cook shouldn’t have any particular difficulties preparing chicken sausage in a mug.

Ingredients for chicken sausage in a mug


  • chicken meat - 700 grams;
  • egg - 1 piece;
  • starch - two large spoons;
  • milk - approximately 300 ml;
  • salt - one and a half small spoons;
  • ground black pepper - half a small spoon;
  • ground nutmeg - one small spoon;
  • vegetable oil for lubricating mugs.

To prepare chicken sausage, we will use domestic chicken meat: breast, leg, thighs.

You need to cut off all the pulp from the seeds. You can then cook delicious chicken soup from the bones.

The meat needs to be chopped in a convenient way. Grind in a meat grinder and grind in a food processor. The finer the minced meat, the more homogeneous, softer and more tender the consistency of the sausage. The minced meat should have an almost pate-like state.

And if you add a few drops of beet juice, the minced meat will take on a pink tint. In general, you can experiment with additives endlessly.

Mugs or glasses need to be the same height, since the sausage will be cooked in a water bath. Lightly grease the mugs with any oil and fill them tightly with minced chicken. Do not fill the mugs to the very top.

Place a cloth folded 3-4 times into a cauldron or pan with a thick bottom and place the mugs on it.

Pour hot water into the cauldron so that it is slightly above the middle of the mugs. Turn on the stove and cook the sausage from the moment it boils for 40-45 minutes.

Carefully remove the mugs from the pan and let the sausage cool slightly in the mugs.
