Let's consider one of the options for eliminating mold and mildew, which has shown its effectiveness, is easy to implement and does not require a lot of time and money. For this method we will need the following tools and products:
- bleach "Whiteness";
- soda ash;
- small capacity;
- tablespoon;
- used toothbrush;
- hard sponge for washing dishes;
- cotton pads;
- latex gloves.
The process of removing mold and mildew in the bathroom
We begin the fight against mold and mildew by preparing a portion of a cleaning mix. To do this, pour five tablespoons of soda ash into a container and slowly add Whiteness until you get a porridge-like mass with the consistency of thick sour cream.
Using an old toothbrush, apply the prepared mixture to the areas where mold and fungal growths are found, putting rubber gloves on your hands.
The cleaning mass can then be rubbed vigorously using a stiff dishwashing sponge. This will allow you to immediately remove fresh tumors that have not yet managed to penetrate into the cracks and eat into the seams. Here we use not so much the chemical activity of the cleaning mixture as its abrasive qualities.
We will remove the fungus and mold that remained after the first stage of attack on them in another way. To do this, pour a small amount of White into a container and, after moistening cotton pads in it, place them in those places where there are still dark spots of mold and mildew. We leave them in this position for 8-10 hours so that the Whiteness chemically dissolves the organic matter of mold and mildew.
After the specified period of time, we remove the disks and make sure that mold and mildew have disappeared in almost all places. If, nevertheless, there are still small dark spots left somewhere, then they can now be easily wiped off with a toothbrush dipped in a mixture of bleach and soda ash.
So, if dark formations have just begun to appear, then you can get by with treatment with a mixture of Whiteness and soda ash. In the case of old stains, a second stage is also necessary - soaking the stains with White.
