Ingredients
To prepare two servings of fried herring you will need:
- frozen herring, preferably Pacific 2 pcs. weighing about 300 g each;
- salt 4 - 5 g;
- vegetable oil 50 ml;
- butter 50 g;
- dill greens 20 g;
- flour 0 - 60 g.
How to fry herring deliciously
1. Thaw the herring at room temperature. Cut off the head, remove all the entrails and rinse well. To avoid loss of beneficial fish oil, do not fillet the herring for frying.
2.Salt the resulting fish carcasses on top and inside, roll them in flour.
3. Heat the vegetable oil and fry the fish until golden brown on one side and the other.
4. And here is the secret itself, which few people know about: Place the fried herring in a mold and add pieces of butter to the middle of the carcasses and place them on top. Place the fish in the oven, which is turned on at + 180 degrees. Bake the fish for about 10 minutes. During this time, the fried herring will become saturated with creamy taste, become juicy and tender.
5. Before serving, sprinkle the fried herring with chopped dill. Herring prepared according to this recipe can be either a separate dish or served with a side dish of fresh or boiled vegetables.
