Basic materials:
- gas cylinder 50 l;
- pipes 100 mm, 25-32 mm;
- profile pipes 10x10 mm, 100x100 mm,
- Sheet steel;
- asbestos cord.
Furnace manufacturing process
Water is poured into the cylinder (for fire safety purposes, since flammable substances may remain in it). Its valve is cut off.
A hole is drilled at the transition of the top to the side walls. The cylinder is installed vertically and filled with water until it begins to flow out from the side.
The top can then be safely cut off along a line through the hole.
A hole is cut at the bottom of the cylinder for a 100 mm pipe.
The cut circle is aligned.
Next, you need to take a 100 mm piece of pipe, drill it, and insert an L-shaped rod into the holes. A cut circle is welded to it.
The pipe is then welded onto the hole in the cylinder.This will be a chimney with a damper.
Legs of a convenient height are welded to the cylinder. They need to be connected to each other with jumpers for rigidity.
To make a stove door, you will need to bend a ring equal to the circumference of the cylinder from a thin profile pipe. Its edges are welded. Then one wall of the ring is cut out. An asbestos cord is pressed into the opened cavity. The resulting part is temporarily fixed on the stove with a couple of drops of welding.
A beveled blank is cut from a 100x100 mm profile pipe. It needs to be welded into the previously cut off top of the cylinder, in which a window is pre-cut. The resulting door is welded to a ring with an asbestos cord.
Next, you need to make a door hinge and weld it to the ring and the oven body so that the loading door opens.
The latch is immediately welded in.
A small door on hinges is welded onto the furnace vent. It needs to be equipped with a bolt at the bottom, which, when screwed in, can rest against the tongue in the pipe. This will allow you to regulate the air flow into the firebox.
Finally, the oven is scalded with a protective frame and side screens are installed on it. They will prevent accidental contact with a hot surface, and will also serve as a radiator for better heat transfer.
