Life hack How to clean carbon deposits from candles with sand without sandblasting

This cleaning method is excellent for stale candles, which, in addition to dried soot, have various oxides and rust. Regular soaking in a cleaning solution simply cannot wash them off. The good thing about the method is that it does not require any equipment or training. Everything can be done in a couple of tens of minutes in any garage.

Will need

  • Plastic jar for vitamins or medicine.
  • Dry, fine-grained sand.

Cleaning spark plugs from carbon deposits manually with sand

Take the lid from the jar and make a hole in it for the spark plug.

It is necessary that the candle is screwed tightly onto the thread. This way the sand won’t spill out too much. Pour a third of fine sand into the jar itself.

And like a bartender in clubs, we begin to shake the can “back and forth” for about 10-15 minutes.

Next, remove the spark plug from the roof and wash it in gasoline.

Cleaning is noticeable to the naked eye, especially when compared with candles from the same kit.

A very simple life hack will definitely come in handy, especially if you don’t have a sandblasting machine.

And it’s even easier not to dangle the jar, but to clamp the candle into a drill and into a jar of sand. Easier and faster.

when the car is running normally, the spark plugs are not cleaned and this oil is thrown out, the compression valve may burn out, you need to measure or further clean the spark plugs
