To save money, lightweight buildings can be built on a columnar foundation. This is the most cost-effective solution, but if you fill the columns wisely, you can save even more. So, instead of the plastic pipe traditionally used for formwork, you can make do with roofing felt. If you use it correctly, the columns will turn out no worse.

- plastic pipe 160 mm for template;
- stretch film.
The process of making formwork from roofing felt
To make formwork for one column, you will need to cut a 2 m long piece from a roll of roofing felt. It is wound onto a plastic pipe, but not tightly, so that it can be pulled out later.
Having finished the roofing material almost to the end, you need to put the end of the cling film under its edge. In order for it to stick, you need to collect a small lump on it, which will be compressed by roofing material. The film is then wound onto the workpiece, but in the opposite direction. It is necessary to make several layers without gaps, completely enveloping the package.
Then the edge of the film is cut off and the pipe is removed from the formwork.
Now all that remains is to prepare the holes of the required depth, lower the workpieces into them and add sand.
After this, concrete can be poured into them. As a result, such formwork will also work as waterproofing.
