Sometimes simple solutions can save a lot of time when doing routine work, or do it much better. There are many such life hacks. Let's look at a selection of some of them.

1. How to remove the core from the crown

It happens that when using a crown, the core gets firmly stuck in it, and it is not possible to pull it out at all. Just screw a self-tapping screw into it, and everything will come out on its own without any effort. You can also pull out the core by grasping the self-tapping screw with pliers.

2. Holder for paint brushes on a bucket

To fix paint brushes on a bucket of paint, just cut the pipe insulation lengthwise. We put it on the rim, then cut it across. Brushes can be placed in these crevices.

3. Sanding drum for drill

To quickly sand a surface with a drill, take a long bolt and remove its head.

Then cut the rod lengthwise and wrap sandpaper around it.

Its edge can be secured with a tie or wire. The resulting tool is clamped in a drill chuck, after which it can be used for grinding.

4. Drawing circles without a compass

You can draw a circle on any sheet of material by screwing it into the last self-tapping screw. Then we make a hook from the wire. One edge clings to the self-tapping screw, and insert a pencil into the other. Now you can draw a circle. By changing the length of the wire it is easy to adjust the diameter.

5. Wire mosquito coil stand

You can bend a simple stand out of wire on which to hang a mosquito coil. We set fire to the latter, and there will be no insects near you even if you are on the street.

6. Correct fastening to drywall

Ordinary self-tapping screws do not hold in drywall. It requires a special dowel. It is inserted into the previously drilled hole and its screw is tightened. The dowel is deformed and will crimp the sheet, so such fasteners will hold very securely.

7. Accurately measure the distance between corners with a tape measure

The distance between the corners is measured with a tape measure with an error, since the measuring tape bends. A stationery binder will help compensate for this. Use it to clamp a card or business card onto the tape. Then we measure the angle so that the edge of the card rests. Then we straighten the folded tape and look at what mark the edge of the card is located. This will be the exact distance.

8. Hand file made from jigsaw blade

To manually saw with a jigsaw blade, you need to put a handle on it. It is done simply. You just need to clamp the edge of the nail file with the door hinge.

9. Protect the charging cable from kinks

The charging cable always fails due to a bend at the end in front of the plug. Just put a small spring on it. It will increase the radius of the bend, so the core in the wire will last longer.

10. Christmas tree decoration made from a paint brush

Using a regular paint brush with a red handle, you can make a Christmas tree decoration in the shape of Santa Claus. We simply glue a padding polyester edge on it to imitate a hat, a red star, eyes and a nose. The lint itself will serve as the beard.

11. Soft pads on the vice

You can put pipe insulation cut lengthwise onto the jaws of the vice. The foam material will prevent deformation of the compressed workpieces.

12. Sandpaper knife

To quickly and evenly cut off sandpaper, simply screw a blade from a hacksaw for metal onto any surface, placing a washer under it. Now we put some sandpaper under the canvas and tear it off.

13. Sanding plane made from hacksaw blades

Blades for a hacksaw for metal need to be drilled and tightened together with bolts, creating a gap with nuts. The resulting tool can be used to process wood, giving it roundness or forming a relief.
