What could be nicer than something made with your own hands? The answer is simple - it is a thing made of wool. And indeed, recently, accessories created with the help of felt have become very popular both among fashionistas and among lovers of practical and beautiful things. Today you have the opportunity to learn how to make simple, but at the same time original and bright wool beads that will match your spring mood.

Our decoration will consist of several multi-colored wool beads, which will be easiest to make using the wet felting technique. For this we need:

1. Wool for felting (since in this master class the beads consist of three colors, I needed light green, yellow and bright pink wool);
2. Bowl of hot water;
3. Bowl of cold water;
4. Soap (liquid soap, shampoo, etc. are also suitable);
5. And, of course, spring mood.

Wool beads

Now you can get to work.
First of all, you need to prepare pieces of wool of approximately the same size.In this case, you should take into account the fact that during the felting process the wool will “shrink” almost 2 times (usually this depends on the type of wool and how hard you try).

Now the piece of wool needs to be given a spherical shape. To do this, you need to fold the sides of the wool strip towards the center, and then fold the bottom edge up. Thus, you need to felt the wool into a very tight ball until the piece is finished (if necessary, you can use a felting needle - it will help remove some of the unevenness).

Once you have a more or less even ball, you can dip it in hot soapy water. It is very important to ensure that the ball does not unwind.

Only after it is completely saturated with soapy water can you proceed directly to the felting itself. Remove the wool from the water and then begin felting the ball using light circular motions (approximately 2 minutes). Gradually it will begin to become tighter, then you can increase the speed and force of pressure. You need to felt the ball until it reaches the density and size you need.

After this, rinse the bead in cold water and leave to dry for 12 hours. Having thus created 12 beads (large balls with a diameter of 4 cm are presented here), you need to connect them.

As a result, you should end up with fun beads that will make you happy every day.
