Many ideas have to be abandoned due to the lack of a tool for this, for example, a welding machine. If you need to make some kind of frame or stand from a profile pipe, then this is possible even without welding. Let's look at the 5th method of connecting pipes using a more common tool, such as an angle grinder, a hammer, and a rivet gun.

1. T-joint

To make a T-shaped connection between two pipes, you need to make 2 antennae at the end of one of them. To do this, it is cut lengthwise from the end along the edges. The length of the cuts is made slightly larger than the width of the pipe. Then 2 walls are removed.

On the second pipe, you need to make 2 through cuts along the edges in order to insert the antennae obtained earlier. In this way, the pipes are joined, and then the tongues are folded on the reverse side.

2. Demountable connection at right angles with a mortgage

It is necessary to select a tube of such diameter that it fits tightly inside the working main pipe. You need to cut a cube out of it. It is drilled through and bolted to the wall of the main pipe.

The result is a mortgage to which the end of the second pipe can be attached in the same way with a bolt.

This method produces a fairly strong collapsible corner.

3. T-joint at 45 degrees

On one pipe it is necessary to draw 2 parallel lines at 45 degrees, the distance between which is equal to the width of the pipe. A similar drawing is made on the back wall. Then on the remaining unmarked sides they are connected to each other by transverse lines.

The same markings are made on the second pipe with a slight indentation from the edge. Then you need to cut through the edges of the pipe with a grinder from the edge to the first oblique line. As a result, antennae should remain on the sides, while the walls with straight lines are removed.

On the first pipe you need to make cuts only along the transverse lines. Then the antennae of the second pipe are inserted into them and bent on the reverse side.

4. Cross-shaped groove-to-groove connection

For this connection, both tubes are prepared in the same way. They need to be marked at the intersection. It consists of 2 transverse lines, the distance between which is equal to the width of the pipes. Then similar markings are made on the sides, but only on half of the walls.

The next step requires removing the marked parts on the front walls and making tabs on the side walls. Moreover, it is necessary that the antennae turn out to be multidirectional.

The tongues are bent outward at right angles, after which the pipes are joined with grooves. The rigidity of the connection is ensured by rivets.

5. Trapezoidal T-joint

A trapezoid is drawn on one pipe with a slight indentation from the edge. Then it is transferred to the opposite wall. On the sides of the pipe, its tops are connected by transverse lines.

Next, you need to remove the triangles formed by trapezoids on the front sides. On the side walls you need to make cuts along the lines running near the edge of the pipe.

Now you need to bend the side tabs and attach the workpiece to the pipe being joined to trace its outline. According to the markings made, a groove is cut out in it.

All that remains is to join the pipes together like a puzzle, and secure them additionally with rivets through the tabs. The result is a very rigid, tear-resistant connection.
