In a metal barrel with a volume of 50 liters and a diameter of 38 cm, cut a rectangular hole in the lower part of the cylindrical side wall. We weld the cut fragment to the barrel using two hinges and use it as a blower door to remove accumulated ash and adjust the draft in the stove.
We cut out a concentric hole in the lid of the barrel and insert a metal bucket with a volume of 20 liters and a diameter of 30 cm into it. To strengthen the bottom and prevent it from burning out quickly, you can lay the lid of the bucket by cutting it to size and making a system of holes.
We weld three steel corners, 9 cm long, vertically to the upper circular stiffener at an equal distance from each other. You can place dishes on them for boiling water or preparing food for pets.
Using the wood chip stove for its intended purpose is quite simple. First, we place dry firewood in the firebox. We set fire to the wood through the ash pit using a gas burner or plain paper.
During the heating process of the stove, a slight emission of smoke will be observed, which disappears when the stove reaches the design thermal regime, accompanied by a hum caused by increased draft.
Now you can load raw branches, twigs, foliage, etc. into the stove. All this will burn intensively without emitting smoke and soot. Free heat can be used to quickly prepare pet food or boil water, as its thermal power reaches 8 kW.
