When camping or fishing, it is not always possible to find a lot of firewood for a fire, so a wood chip stove is very suitable for such conditions. For its work, you need small branches and chips, which are never a problem to find, even in a damp forest. You can make such a stove with your own hands from two tin cans. The difference between this design is that it is pyrolysis, that is, it burns combustion products, so it does not smoke and produces more heat.

Materials:

  • Paint hardener tin;
  • canned food tin;
  • M6 threaded rods – 3 pcs.;
  • M6 nuts – 3 pcs.

The process of making a wood chip stove from tin cans

To make a stove you will need a tin of paint hardener, as it is quite tall. We also select a regular canned food tin for it. The latter should be shorter and smaller in diameter than the first.

You need to cut off the filler neck of the hardener can.

The resulting torn edge must be trimmed using adjustable pliers or another tool.The bottom of the can of hardener is also removed.

Now we need to work on the second jar. First, carefully remove its cover. After this, you need to make perforations at the bottom and top edge of the jar in a circle with a large drill. It is best to use a wood drill, placing a block inside. It doesn't leave ragged edges. You should also make a sieve in the bottom of the jar.

Perforations are also made into the hardener cans at the bottom edge, but the holes should be small. It is convenient to use a cutter for this. It is better to make two rows of holes.

Where the holes have torn edges, it is better to flare them with something round.

Next, you need to drill the hardener can into the lid. Three holes are made for the tripod. They also transfer to the bottom of a canned food jar.

These three holes are used to pin the tin can into the larger hardener can. The edges of the studs are brought out, and the whole thing is tightened with nuts. Thus, we get a tripod for dishes.

The finished stove is installed on a flat base. We put wood chips into the inner jar and set them on fire. After the walls warm up, the emission of smoke from the stove stops. Now you can place a pot or frying pan on it. Such a stove, using a handful of branches, can boil a liter of water in 15 minutes, so the design is very useful for a tourist, hunter or fisherman.
