From the simplest and most worn-out items and materials, you can make original and useful life hacks for all occasions.

Device for cutting round bars at 45 degrees

Use a grinder to cut the crosspiece crosswise along the mating lines.

We drill a hole in the center of the reverse side and cut a thread for the bolt.

We place a round rolled piece in the crosspiece, clamp it with a bolt and cut the rolled piece at 45 degrees along the notch line.

How to make a device for weaving a chain-link mesh

We screw a simple and a tall nut onto the stud, and one regular nut onto the 2 bolts. We place a tall nut between the nuts on the bolts and clamp it in a vice, pointing the pin opposite the bolts. We weld the nuts together.

We clamp the pin into the drill chuck. We insert the end of the wire under the bolt, turn on the drill and wind the wire onto the bolts.

We cut off the coil, unscrew the bolts from the nuts and stretch the spring. We divide it into halves and screw one into the other. Next we repeat the process.

How to make a spring door stopper

We cut a hole in the cover into which we insert a bolt with a plastic head from the inside, having previously placed a compression spring of a suitable length on the bolt rod.

Screw a nut onto the end of the bolt.

We fasten the unit to the wall with a nut and get a spring stopper for the door.

How to make a holder for tape or tape on a sleeve

We cut a longitudinal strip in the plastic pipe.

We insert a steel mounting angle into the pipe with holes opposite the slot until the second side of the angle stops at the end of the pipe. We fix the corner to the pipe with rivets, drilling holes in it.

We attach the corner to the workbench. Having squeezed the pipe, we put a sleeve on it with adhesive tape or tape and easily unwind it to the desired length.

How to ensure cleanliness when drilling into wood

Under the hole for the drill to pass through in the work table of the machine, we drill a coaxial hole in the workbench and glue a cover with a cut out central part to it from below.

We screw a plastic bottle into the lid to collect sawdust and dust when drilling wood.

How to make a knife for cutting insulation on wires

We put a replacement blade on the nail inserted into the terminal block and loosely hammer it into the wooden beam.

We secure the block to the nail with locking screws. In the timber under the blade we drill a hole parallel to the nail, where we insert the wire.

We press the blade against the insulation, rotate the wire and make a cut in the insulation, which can be easily removed.

How to make a movable container for hardware

We fasten the fastening corner with rivets on one side to the outside of the steel dish, and on the other to the bottom of the table top. The container can be removed from under the tabletop and put back so that it does not interfere with work.

How to shape the end of a tube spout for ease of use

We unscrew the tube spout, cut off the tip and insert a flat file into it. We heat up the section of the nose in the area of the end of the file with a lighter.

Here we make a cross section and make a triangular notch.

We screw the spout into place and, using a gun, squeeze the contents of the tube onto the surface in a neat strip.

How to ensure reliable lubrication of the drill and the material being processed

We cut a piece from the vinyl tube, which we put on the drill, and put a little oil into the gap between the tube and the drill, which reliably and economically lubricates the drill and the drilling area.

How to screw a screw into a large hole in a wooden beam

We bite off the ends of the tension spring, the outer diameter of which is equal to the diameter of the hole in the beam.

We insert the spring into the hole and hammer it into the beam. We screw the screw into the spring and don’t have to worry about the strength of the fastening.

How to butt join wooden boards with a plastic pipe

Cut a piece of plastic pipe lengthwise.

Using a gas torch, unroll the pipe and level it, pressing it with a hard steel sheet. We cut the pipe development into halves, join the boards, apply plastic on both sides symmetrically to the joining line, drill holes and screw in the screws.

How to secure steel pipe for cross hole drilling safely

It becomes increasingly difficult to securely secure a round pipe in a vice as the diameter increases. In our case, an eccentric clamp is better suited for any pipe diameter. It provides both convenience and safety for drilling cross holes.

How to make a container for storing hardware

Cut off the top part with the lid and bow from the plastic bottle. We stretch it onto a round pipe and, heating it with a gas burner, smooth out the stiffening ribs.

We screw the bow to the wall.
