A story about how to make a device for lighting effects without using controllers and microprocessors. However, some radio components will be used in this product. But first things first.

The device that will be manufactured is a circle. Along its perimeter there are LEDs. And lighting up one by one, they form a light path, or running fire. Everything looks stylish and beautiful, and is made from the simplest parts and materials. Begin.

How to make a “running” LED flasher

First, let's make a round base with a diameter of 12 cm from a piece of plastic. An 8 mm hole is drilled in the center.

The disk itself is divided into 24 parts. This is easy to do with a protractor - each segment is 15 degrees. 5 mm LEDs. Pros on the one hand, cons on the other. For reliability LEDs glued to the disk with drops of glue.

All negative terminals are connected to each other by soldering. A wire ring is used for this.

A small shaft is inserted into the drilled hole in the center of the disk. gear motor direct current. The engine itself is secured with glue.

On the back side of the disk, the shaft should be extended using a suitable metal pin. Several turns are made on this extension using a flexible single-core copper wire. Then the wire is laid on the other side of the disk.

How the lighting device will be used and where it will be located is decided by the owner. One of the location options is to install it on a horizontal surface. To do this, the legs are glued to the side of the micromotor.

The battery used is lithium-ion battery 3.7 Volt.

To adjust the engine rotation speed, a simple circuit is assembled on popular transistor BC 547 using a potentiometer. This is necessary to change the speed of the running fire effect. All parts are soldered and power is supplied to the device. The same piece of single-core wire wound around the motor shaft is used as a current collector rod in the homemade product.

Its second end is bent in a special way so that when rotated it touches the leads LEDslocated on the disk side.

It's simple - by turning the potentiometer knob, we start the engine rotation.

The current collector, moving in a circle, alternately supplies power to LEDs. They light up, creating a running fire effect. Looks very impressive in the dark.

New time, new elements. I remember this circuit, but only on incandescent lamps (60s), and on reed switches (80s) the same is available. UT magazine to help. And this is not bad for an entry level.
