Greetings, dear readers. Probably, in life, every person has his own hobby, because he needs to somehow escape from the usual routine. And today, you can choose a hobby from an extensive list, or you can come up with your own. My choice fell on modeling, and in particular on modeling from paper and other stationery. And I would like to share my experience with you.
First of all, you must determine whether you really want this. After all, like other hobbies, modeling of this type requires your desire and a little time. After all, after you master the skills, you will be able to reflect almost any object on paper.
What exactly is modeling? Some may think that this is origami. But no, they are actually different from each other.
Origami is when you use only paper and use bends to create a masterpiece. And in my hobby, the range of materials is much wider, such as: paper (from Whatman paper to simple A4), paper clips, transparent sheets (thick covers, etc.), as well as glue for connecting all this (my advice, the most suitable is PVA), and various devices (scissors, stationery knives, tweezers, etc.). Here are examples:

Where to begin? As they say, “Moscow was not built in a day,” and in our case, if you have not dealt with paper before, then first start with simple models. My advice is to search the Internet for ready-made patterns for models, and choose a simple one to start with. Create a couple of simple objects, and when your hands get the hang of it, move on to more complex ones. This way you will master the necessary skills, and in the future you will be able to create whatever you want. For example, patterns for a motorcycle from the Internet:

What to create? Start with simple shapes, cubes, pyramids. Then collect models taken from the Internet. If you are good with geometry, then this is a big plus. You will be able to create complex models yourself, for example: various equipment, objects, animals, etc. Here are examples:

For ideas, you can watch various films with a lot of technology. Personally, I watched a lot of Discovery cable. If you want to create your own, you must learn how to make patterns. To do this, you need to have at least some understanding of geometry. The best thing for beginners is to make parallelepipeds or cubes of different sizes, and assemble the parts like in LEGO, gluing them together.

Finally, I want to say that if you want to master this skill, you must practice and give yourself more complex and difficult tasks, expand the range of materials, otherwise you will not leave the cubes.
