Cosmetic bag “Apple blossom”

Almost all women buy a lot of cosmetics. Every woman has eye shadow, lipstick, lip gloss, blush, mascara, cosmetic pencils, and powder in her arsenal. All these cosmetics are usually stored in a special cosmetic bag, which can be purchased in a store, or you can make it yourself. I suggest making a large and convenient cosmetic bag - one that can fit all, or almost all, of your cosmetics. In addition, it can be decorated with an applique with flowering apple tree branches.



Making a cosmetic bag will not take much time, and the materials for sewing it will most likely be found in every home.
For work you will need: brown fleece, yellow fabric for lining, two buttons, yellow, brown, green and pink threads, scissors, a needle, pink and green felt, yellow beads.



Progress
1. Cut a rectangle measuring 25 by 35 cm from brown fleece. Cut a rectangle of the same size from yellow fabric.



2. Fold the rectangles right sides together, straighten and sew around the perimeter, retreating approximately one centimeter from each edge. Leave a small hole on the side for turning inside out. It is best to sew using a sewing machine.This will be the base for your makeup bag. Turn the main part inside out and carefully sew up the unsewn hole with a blind stitch. Straighten the piece well and manually stitch around the perimeter with a basting stitch.



3. Now you need to stitch one edge (the narrower one) on a sewing machine, stepping back about one centimeter from the edge.



4. On the opposite side, also use a sewing machine to sew that part of the part that will be the valve closing the cosmetic bag.



5. Fold the cosmetic bag piece with the lining inward and sew the outer side seams.



6. Carefully pull out the basting threads.



7. Sew two buttons tightly.



8. Fasten the cosmetic bag to check if they are sewn symmetrically and if there is any distortion.



9. Now you need to decorate your cosmetic bag. This can be done using an application. For example, apply an applique of a blooming apple tree branch.
First you need to cut out five leaves from green felt. Sew three leaves onto the flap on the right side of the cosmetic bag, and two on the left side of the cosmetic bag. It is better to sew the leaves with a lower stitch only along the central vein - this way they will look more natural and voluminous. You can sew by hand.
Cut out three small flowers from pink felt, each with five petals. Place the flowers next to the leaves and sew on. On the right are two flowers, and on the left is one. Sew flowers only in the center and along the middle of the petals. This way the flowers will turn out voluminous. Sew yellow beads tightly into the center of each flower - these will be the stamens.



The soft and comfortable cosmetic bag is ready. All that remains is to put lipstick, eye shadow and blush, mascara and powder in it, and cosmetic pencils will also fit.
