On the eve of the New Year, I want to please myself and my loved ones with all sorts of New Year's attributes. And the main symbol of the New Year is, of course, the Christmas tree! This Christmas tree topiary will decorate a desktop in the office or a room in the house, and a candy surprise will delight those with a sweet tooth.
To make a sisal Christmas tree you will need the following materials:
1. Green and beige sisal (a Christmas tree with a height of 28 cm and a base diameter of 10 cm requires two meters of sisal 50 cm wide),
2. A ball of twine,
3. Cardboard,
4. Scissors,
5. PVA glue,
6. Cardboard,
7. Decorative decorations (beads, garlands, balls, sparkles, etc.),
8. Candy,
9. Stapler,
10. Corrugated paper,
11. Gloves.

First, we make a cone out of cardboard and secure it with a stapler or glue. There is no need to make a wide base of the cone, since such a Christmas tree almost doubles in width due to the balls. Carefully wrap the cardboard cone with twine. You should start from the top of the cone, securing the tail of the twine with glue. Then the glue can be applied along the generatrix of the cone and continue wrapping; you don’t need to pour a lot of glue at all. At the end, the tail of the twine can be secured with a stapler in several places for reliability. The twine is not only needed to strengthen the cone, it will also make a beautiful base. If somewhere between the sisal balls a cone wrapped in twine is visible, it will be beautiful.

The next step is to hide a candy surprise in the cone. Pour the candy into the cone and secure it at the bottom with green corrugated paper using a stapler. Carefully cut off the excess. The paper is thick and strong and will hold securely. It's okay if the edges turn out a little sloppy. This will all be covered with sisal balls.
After leaving the cone to dry, we begin rolling the sisal balls. It is better to roll the balls with gloves, as the material is scratchy. We roll the balls approximately the same size, dense. Dense balls look neater and stick better. Once the balls are ready, glue them to the cone. We start from bottom to top in order. You can glue it randomly, or you can come up with some kind of pattern and follow it. Glue one ball to the top to make it look like a Christmas tree.

After the Christmas tree is covered with sisal balls, we begin decorating. We wrap the Christmas tree with red beads and glue pearl beads (large white and small beige) in a chaotic order.
