Today we will learn the “sweet” basics of Italian cuisine. A masterpiece of world confectionery art, or simply a delicious dessert - tiramisu. What components are needed to create it? Let's start the list, perhaps, with biscuit cookies (also called “Savoiardi”). Then - cream cheese (or, as is commonly called, Mascarpone cheese). Wine and coffee ingredients you will need: dessert wine (the best option is Marsala), espresso coffee. And finally, eggs and sugar.
It’s okay if you can’t purchase “foreign” ingredients. In this case, you can choose ready-made analogues, or (like cookies) make them yourself.
We prepare the products.
Everyone knows that any dish can be prepared in various ways without losing the original culinary idea. The same applies to preparing a dish such as tiramisu.
Here are some excellent ideas for replacing mascarpone cheese if you don’t have any on hand: full-fat cottage cheese (fresh only), sour cream, cream, Philadelphia/Buko cheese. Instead of Marsala wine, you can also choose analogues: Madeira, Amaretto, brandy, cognac.
Feel free to replace Savoyardi cookies with sponge cakes.
At the end of cooking, you can sprinkle it with crumbled cocoa.
Don't forget the following ingredients: eggs, espresso, sugar.
Popular tiramisu recipes.
By following this recipe, you will get a masterpiece of confectionery art that is as close as possible to the original version.
Even if you are new to the kitchen, following the tips and algorithm of actions given below, preparing this dish will not be difficult.
It is important to allow the dessert to cool after cooking, preferably in a cold place.
What does the dish consist of:
* Sugar (75 gr.),
* Egg yolk (3 pcs.),
* Delicate cheese/cottage cheese/sour cream (250 gr.),
* Instant coffee (3 tsp.),
* Biscuit cookies (120 gr.),
* Dry cocoa (1 tbsp.),
* Brandy/Amaretto (4 tbsp.).
Cooking:
1. First, pour boiling water over the instant coffee (no more than one glass of boiling water). Then cool the resulting espresso and mix it with brandy/liqueur.
2. Stir the sugar in the egg yolk, gradually whisking in the cottage cheese/sour cream/mascarpone. Stir until an elastic mass is obtained. Beat the egg white until stable and gently fold into the cream.
3. Divide the amount of biscuits into two portions. Process the first batch of cookies in the coffee mixture and immediately place them compactly on the bottom of the dish. Then carefully coat the layer with the egg-curd mixture.
4. Lay the second batch of biscuits: dip in coffee, place on top of the bottom layer. Spread with remaining cream. Level the surface.
5. Wrap the tiramisu dish with cling film and place in the refrigerator to cool for 4–5 hours. Sprinkle with cocoa powder when serving. Bon appetit!
