Autumn time is beautiful in its own way. Golden foliage covers the streets, bright orange clusters of rowan berries decorate the city alleys. And also autumn is the time of harvest, harvesting. Today's master class is for those who like to decorate their home, because we will make an autumn bouquet from felt. This bouquet can be placed on a table, on a windowsill or book shelf. To prepare this decoration we will need materials.
- Sheets of soft felt (red, yellow, orange, gray, light green and green).
- Decorative rowan bunches, straws, apples, insects.
- Outline (gold, black).
- Glue "Moment".
- Pastel.
- Wire.
- Styrofoam.
- Satin ribbon (burgundy color).
- Decorative braid (gold, silver).
- Cardboard.
Making a bouquet with your own hands
So, let's get down to business and start making leaves. To do this, draw three types of autumn leaves (birch, oak, maple) on cardboard. Cut out templates from cardboard. Place them on the felt, trace them and cut them out as well. There should be about 7 - 8 leaves in total. I made two dark green, one lime, two yellow, and one each of red gray and orange felt.
Now place a small piece of wire on top of the sheet, bend the sheet in half and secure the wire with thread (make a seam).
Glue the remaining leg of the leaf with glue.
Next, we shade the leaves with pastel chalk. Shade the edge of the orange leaf with red chalk, and shade the red and green leaves with black. Color the yellow leaves orange, paint the gray and light green leaves green along the edges. This is roughly what it should look like.
The leaves are almost ready, but they don’t look very good yet. After we apply the veins on them with an outline, they will look more natural.
First apply a black outline, then gold. Leave the leaves to dry. In the meantime, we will proceed to the base on which our bouquet will be attached.
Cut a small cube from polystyrene foam or thick foam rubber. Place it on cardboard and cut out a square from the cardboard that is slightly larger than a cube along the edge by 1 -1.5 cm. Glue the bottom of the cube and the cardboard together.
Wrap the cube with satin ribbon and glue it. Glue decorative tape (silver) along the top edge, and gold tape along the bottom of the cardboard.
All that remains is to put the bouquet together. Bend the wire on the leaves, giving them a natural bend. Carefully insert the wire ends of the leaves into the foam, placing them in a circle. Place bunches of rowan berries in the center, also on a wire. Place a miniature apple on a wire and stick it on the side of the rowan tree. Stick the bug on a light green leaf. To prevent the white bottom of the foam from showing through, place burgundy or green straws under the leaves. Now our autumn felt bouquet for table decoration is completely ready.
