How to make a Koala bookmark out of paper

Often the reading process becomes very exciting, but you have to stop. And in order not to forget a place, you need to use bookmarks. Adults sometimes use just a piece of paper for these purposes. But for children's books it is better to make a more interesting bookmark. For example, a bookmark in the shape of a koala looks funny. It is its creation in technology origami presented in our master class.

How to make a Koala bookmark out of paper

To make a bookmark we will prepare:
- orange paper;
- scissors;
- ruler;
- pencil;
- black marker;
- glue stick.

Our craft will consist of two parts - the body and the head. Therefore, we will cut out squares with sides of 15 cm and 12 cm in advance.

Let's start making the body of a koala from a large square. To do this, fold it in half.

Then we make another fold. So we got a blank in the form of a square, folded 4 times.

We turn it on one side and give it the shape of a triangle.

Now you need to do the same with the other side.

Evenly distribute the folds in the form of triangles. The preparation of the koala's body at this stage is as follows.

Fold the top corner down.

After this, you need to start straightening the workpiece from the bottom side.

Let's give it the following look.

Apply glue to the inner corners.

Fold in half.

We bend the corners a little, these will be the paws of our koala. Additionally, you need to make an internal fold in the lower right corner.

Now let's start folding the koala's head using the origami technique. To do this, mark transverse folds on a small square.

We bend the lower corners towards the center.

Let's turn the head blank over to the other side.

Now we bend the upper corners towards the center.

The right side of our workpiece needs to be folded towards the center line so as not to wrinkle the triangle on the wrong side (we carefully bring it up).
