Who would have thought that an old denim skirt could find new life in the form of fashionable and very cozy fleece slippers? But remaking old things is always creative. The idea that arises captivates and, it seems, leads itself; all that remains is to have time to implement the idea. Let’s not hold back our creative impulses and get to work immediately.

For the conversion you will need:

  • old denim skirt (or trousers),
  • unnecessary house slippers with durable soles,
  • fleece for lining,
  • pattern paper,
  • ruler,
  • scissors,
  • pins,
  • threads with a needle.

First, make a pattern.

The template provides an example of a pattern for boots of size 38-39. But it is easy to adapt to any size. It is enough just to increase or decrease the size of part No. 1. Try cutting it from any other fabric and apply it to your leg to make sure it is the right size.
Part No. 2 represents the back side of the boot, and if the leg is full, then the width of the second part can also be slightly increased.
Part No. 3 is the front side of the boot, and it is very convenient for it to use pockets from a remade skirt or trousers.

When cutting, do not forget to leave seam allowances.
Cut piece #1 for each boot from both denim and fleece. Connect them together and sew them, thus insulating the future product.

Cut off the top of old slippers. Carefully sew part No. 1 to the fabric edging running along the sole using strong threads.

Remove the pockets from the skirt (or cut out two parts No. 3) and also insulate them with fleece. Put on your shoes and secure the position of the front parts of the tops with pins. Remove and put the boots back on to adjust the width of the boot to suit your comfort.
