Chicken eggs are stored for a very long time, but despite this, you can forget the moment when you bought them and how long they have been in your refrigerator. Of course, there is no release date on each egg. So how can you determine their freshness? Can they still be used?
I suggest using the simplest, folk method to determine the freshness of eggs.
Checking the freshness of eggs
To do this, take two glasses (you can use one deep dish, not necessarily transparent). Pour water at room temperature into them (this is important).
Next, for the experiment, put a fresh egg in one glass, and an expired egg in the second.
And as you can see, the fresh egg sank to the bottom, and the spoiled one floats on top.
This is explained by the fact that bacteria began to multiply in the spoiled egg, something similar to fermentation appeared, as a result, the pressure inside the shell increased.
There is also a moment when, when determining freshness, the egg “hangs” in the middle in the water, and does not rise to the top and does not fall to the bottom.Such eggs are on the verge of spoilage and are not recommended for consumption.
