Some projects may require a dual shaft motor. If this is not at hand, then it can be made from a regular electric motor. If you have enameled wire for winding the armature, even a person far from electronics can cope with the task. The process is painstaking, but not complicated.
What you will need:
- DC electric motor with conventional shaft;
- bicycle spoke;
- thin enameled copper wire.
Electric motor conversion process
It is necessary to remove the engine armature and cut off the commutator.
Next you need to remove the winding. If you do not have experience in rewinding electric motors, then you need to carefully study how the wire is laid and soldered to the commutator, so that you can repeat everything the same way later.
We glue the sides of the core with superglue so that they do not fall apart during disassembly.
The old motor shaft is knocked out of the core.
After this, you need to select a bicycle spoke that matches the diameter of the removed shaft.
Its segment is driven into the core. Before this, you need to grind off the chamfer.
Then the manifold and bushing are returned.
Next, the motor is rewinded with the ends of the wire soldered to the commutator.
The converted armature is returned to the stator and the motor is assembled. If there are no errors with the winding, then it will work.
