We offer a new selection of worthwhile ideas for DIYers that may come in handy. Each of the proposed homemade designs can be of interest, as it allows you to simply and quickly solve ordinary problems that you have to face. It is quite possible that you have already been looking for a similar technical solution for your purposes.

1. Mold for making lead lugs on a cable with your own hands

It is necessary to select a bushing and nut with internal diameters corresponding to the size of the required boss. They need to be combined and cooked.

The bolt is screwed into the nut until the beginning of the sleeve. Then you need to clamp the device vertically in a vice by the bolt head. Pieces of lead are poured into it, and the mold is heated until it melts.

A small washer is placed on the mold, then a cable is dipped into the lead through its hole. The washer is needed so that it is positioned evenly. Once the metal has hardened, the mold can be cooled in water.

To pull out the boss, you need to hold the mold in a vice by the sleeve and screw in the bolt. He pushes out the lead cylinder.

2. Powerful, reusable, detachable hose clamp

The M8-M10 bolt needs to be machined along the thread half the length on both sides. You need to get 2 grooves, at the end of which it is drilled through.

Next, a nut is screwed onto it using the groove.

To install a clamp on a hose stretched over a fitting or tube, you need to insert the wire into the hole in the bolt. A loop is formed from it. You need to circle it around the hose and twist the edges on the other side, creating a slight tension.

Now, by placing the wire in the grooves and unscrewing the nut from the bolt, you can tighten the clamp more tightly. When the hose needs to be removed, the nut is screwed to the cap and the clamp is loosened.

3. Ruler for marking smooth curves

The teeth of the bow saw blade are cut off. Sharp edges are ground off after cutting. Its edges need to be drilled with an 8 mm drill.

M8 bolts are screwed into the holes in the canvas and clamped with nuts. Then you need to drill them in front of the nuts and shorten them if necessary.

The resulting device can be nailed through the holes in the boots onto various surfaces, and bent as needed, used to draw smooth curved lines and arcs. This line can be useful for painters and furniture makers.
