If you live in a rented or communal apartment, then you are probably faced with the fact that the toilet is most likely in a state of disrepair. When many people live in the same space, it is difficult to divide household responsibilities.

The result is that lime deposits form in the toilet bowl, and if water leaks from the tank, then over time the enamel inside becomes covered with rust.

In this case, I will say this about the toilet seat - there is no point in cleaning it, since it is thoroughly saturated with the smell of urine and rust.

Plastic seats are inexpensive, so it's better to buy new ones. Moreover, after cleaning a toilet that will shine, you definitely won’t want to sit on the old seat, even if you wash it.

What did I need to remove plaque and rust?

  • “Vanish” for carpets, preferably in liquid form.
  • Vinegar or vinegar essence.
  • Soda.
  • Household gloves.
  • An old terry towel or napkin.

I took an old pan so that I could throw it away later.I mixed all the ingredients in it: half a glass of soda, 1 glass of vanish, 3-4 tbsp. spoons of vinegar.

Important! If you use vinegar essence, then take no more than 15 grams so as not to burn your gloves and hands.

How to quickly clean a toilet from rust and plaque

I mix all the ingredients, put on gloves, apply part of the solution to the rust, the other part to the lime deposits, and additionally fill the hole with vinegar. The flush hole is more difficult to clean due to the presence of water in it.

To avoid a strong smell in the apartment, I cover the toilet hole with thick cling film and leave it for 2 hours.

After the time has passed, I remove the film and begin to clean the toilet with a hard sponge or brush. As a rule, all contaminants come off the enamel instantly.

Advice! If there are stains left somewhere, remove them with a melamine sponge; it is inexpensive and will always come in handy around the house.

The toilet looks like new after cleaning. It is important to continue to maintain cleanliness and to prevent water from leaking from the tank.
