Sometimes you can come up with absolutely ingenious solutions and devices, easily made with your own hands, that can make life easier. These are the 5 life hacks that are collected in this collection. Each of these ideas has fully proven its effectiveness.

1. Transfer hose with hand pump from a syringe

For this homemade product you will need 5 and 10 cc syringes. You need to cut off the nose of the five-cc one and drill a hole.

The syringe is then cut at the 3 cc mark. The rod with the piston of a five-cc syringe also needs to be cut in half.

Then you need to place the shortened flask in a ten-cc syringe with a similarly cut off spout and a drilled hole. Next, a short rod is inserted into it. They need to be able to dangle freely in a large flask.

Then we insert the hose into the large syringe and fix it with hot glue.

Now, by lowering the resulting pump into the liquid and starting to chatter it, making reciprocating movements, you can begin pumping. The liquid will be drawn into the hose, after which it will drain by gravity.

2. DIY furniture nut

You can make a furniture nut that is pressed into wooden blanks with your own hands. To do this, take a large washer and make 2 notches on it, as in the photo.

After this, we bend the notches at right angles in one direction. We weld a nut with the required thread onto the back side of the washer.

After this, all that remains is to press it into the wood, tightening it with a bolt.

3. Splicing of slats, bars with nails and wire

Wire can be used to trim the length of slats or other lumber. To fix it, we drive nails around the circumference of the joint in a checkerboard pattern, but without pushing it in completely. Then we stretch and wind the wire between them. We hammer in the nails, and a strong connection is ready.

To strengthen it and protect the nails from corrosion and the wire from mechanical damage, you can put a part of a PET bottle on the spliced area and shrink it with a hairdryer or torch.

The result is a quick, strong connection.

4. Can opener made from a washer

A compact can opener can be made from a large washer. To do this, you need to cut it lengthwise and bend the tooth to the side by 180°.

Then we sharpen it with a one-sided descent along both edges.

After this, the opener will be able to easily cut tin cans with canned food. Such a device will be a godsend for hikers and fishermen, as it takes up almost no space.

5. Conductor for folding packages

Many people have a bag of bags in their kitchen. Since it is not possible to pack them tightly, it is often quite voluminous. In order not to take up a lot of space with the bags, you can make a jig to fold them tightly. To do this, you will need any plastic tube with a diameter of 40-50 mm.Segments 60-100 mm long are taken from it.

A longitudinal window is cut out on the workpiece. A wooden plug with a hole is glued into it from the entire edge. A similar plug is also made on the other side, but is not glued.

Next, take a thin metal tube 2 times longer than the plastic one, and cut it in half lengthwise. The result is an axis that needs to be inserted into the holes in the plugs.

Now we place the edge of the bag into the cut of the tube, having first removed the loose plug. After this, rotate the axle with a screwdriver.

As a result, it will be possible to twist the packages into cylinders that do not take up much space and can be easily unwound if necessary.
