A white window sill will sooner or later become dirty, especially if you grow indoor plants on it or there are small children and animals in the house. Stains from glue, soil, and felt-tip pens eat into the surface and are sometimes difficult to remove even with special cleaning agents.

In fact, you can clean the surface of the window sill from dirt, yellow spots and dried glue using improvised means. How to make a window sill snow-white and bring it back to its original form?

Required:

For the first method:

  • a piece of laundry soap (you can use liquid laundry soap);
  • any toothpaste;
  • water;
  • plastic cup;
  • sushi stick;
  • sponge for washing dishes.

For the second method:

  • Sanox ultra plumbing cleaner;
  • sponge for washing dishes;
  • clean rag.

Cleaning the plastic window sill:

First way: Grate the soap and put it in a glass, one tablespoon will be enough. Pour in some water and mix well with a wooden sushi stick. The result will be liquid laundry soap of uniform consistency.If you initially use liquid soap, then you do not need to dilute it in water.

Pour the resulting mixture onto the dirty windowsill, squeeze toothpaste from the tube on top (about 1-2 tablespoons).

Using a dish sponge, rub the soap and paste and leave on the surface for 10 minutes. After this, rub the dirty areas with the hard side of the sponge, and then clean the surface of the window sill with a clean rag. The result is amazing!

Second way: Apply the cleaning agent to the contaminated surface of the window sill, rub lightly with a sponge and leave for 10-15 minutes. During this time, stains and other contaminants will begin to dissolve. Once the product has taken effect, wash it and any dirt off with a clean cloth. Particularly dirty areas of the window sill can be lightly rubbed with a hard sponge.

Don't be afraid of dirty spots on a white window sill. In order to get rid of them, it is not necessary to change the surface. Dirt can be easily cleaned with the most common means found in any home. In order to keep the plastic window sill clean, periodically clean it of gray deposits and dust.
