Every person with straight hands knows a lot of tricks that he uses when doing this or that job. This collection contains 7 fresh life hacks that you most likely haven’t thought of yet. There is a lot of useful information here for different occasions.

1. Chisel or chisel from a broken file

To make a chisel or chisel, you need to sharpen the edge of a flat file. If it is long, then it should be shortened first.

The file shank is cut off and an extended nut is driven onto it. Then a short bolt is screwed into it.

Thus, we get a chisel or chisel whose handle will not break when tapped with a hammer.

2. Sharpening attachment for drill

The drill attachment can be made from a grindstone. To do this, use a diamond bit to drill a cylinder out of it.

Then use a regular drill to drill it in the center.

Next, we put the nozzle on the bolt and tighten it with a nut. Now it can be installed in a drill or screwdriver.

3.Clamp for drywall installation

To make the clamp, it is necessary to cut the mounting angle in half along the edge. Then one of its plates is bent outward in the longitudinal direction.

This fastener can be pressed onto the wall of the profile to use it as a temporary stand for placing drywall. This is very convenient, since you don’t have to hold the sheet suspended. After installation, the lock is removed.

4. Sanding block

A sanding block can be made from regular scraps. We wrap the sanding mesh around it and fix its edges with self-tapping screws and washers. This block has three working sides.

5. Restoring a broken tap

A broken tap can be repaired by clamping its shank into a drill chuck. We start the rotation and grind the edge to a cone with a grinder. This will give us a smooth tip that will allow us to use the thread cutting tool again.

6. Repair of the mounting knife clamp

If the plastic retainer of the mounting knife is broken, you can replace it by installing a bolt with a thin ground head into the blade. Next, the blade returns to the handle and is tightened with a wing nut through a wide washer.

7. Cleaning the shower head

The holes in the shower head become clogged with mineral deposits, after which water stops flowing through them normally. It’s very easy to clean the watering can – just remove it and fill it with vinegar. The acid will dissolve the deposits and the holes will be clean again.
