Traditionally, on the eve of Easter Sunday, eggs are decorated. A variety of methods are used for this. An Easter egg can not only be painted, but also sewn, knitted or cut out of paper. You can also make it out of plasticine together with your children.

To work, you will need fine-grained hardening plasticine of different colors. Prepare an “empty” egg in advance. To do this, make 2 holes on opposite sides of the egg and carefully blow out the contents. Wash and dry the egg. It doesn’t matter if there are small cracks on the shell, then you can simply carefully cover them with plasticine. Before you start a craft with your children, come up with a design and do not forget to draw your child's attention to the fragility of the eggshell, which can break due to too much pressure. It is better if there are several eggs so that you can replace the spoiled ones and thereby avoid unnecessary tears.

Easter eggs made from... plasticine

There are two ways to cover an egg with plasticine.
1. Apply plasticine of the same color to the surface of the entire egg. You will get a background. And then use a stack to squeeze out the pattern, freeing up space from the main color of the plasticine. Fill the resulting “gaps” with plasticine of the desired color.Roll the egg with your palms like a ball to get a smooth surface without gaps or bumps.

2. First, sculpt a drawing, the sketch of which can be marked with a simple pencil. Fill the remaining space with plasticine of the same color to create a background. Just like in the first case, level the surface.

Try both methods. Focus on the age and imagination of the child. And the result may be the most unexpected. For example, we got this funny couple: a cucumber man and a lemon lady.

Don't forget to dry it craftsso that the plasticine hardens.
Such bright eggs will become an original piece of furniture or a beautiful gift for your grandmother, aunt, or godmother. Easter crafts with children will make the Christian holiday more meaningful and understandable for the child. Just don’t forget to tell us why the eggs are decorated.
