It is not particularly difficult to connect two profile pipes of the same shape and size at right angles. To do this, it is enough to make bevels at the ends at 45 degrees and press them together using the resulting cut lines.
At first glance, it seems that it will also be easy to make a right angle from two profile pipes of different cross-sectional shapes and sizes. It seems that it is enough to cut the connecting ends of the pipes at 45 degrees and press them along the cut lines. But in this case, although the connection turns out to be 90 degrees, it is incomplete and does not suit anyone.

We connect pipes of different sections

For a specific case, we will operate with profile pipes: square - 4x4 cm and rectangular - 4x8 cm.
Therefore, there is a need to find another way to arrange profile pipes with mismatched shapes and sizes. The only option that suits us is to completely cover the end section of the profile rectangular pipe with a square pipe so that these pipes in this arrangement form a right angle.
Without changing the position of the profile pipes, we draw a straight line along the upper side of the square pipe from its outer corner to the innermost point of contact of the connected pipes in the same plane. From the resulting point along the corner edge of the rectangular pipe we set aside a distance equal to the side of the square pipe. In our case, this distance is 4 cm.

From the resulting point along the surface of the rectangular pipe, draw a straight line to the outermost point of contact of the connected pipes. As a result, in the zone of contact of the pipes, an image of a parallelogram is obtained, the two sides of which are equal in length and are 4 cm each. The long side of the rectangular pipe, which is 8 cm, in this marking acts as a diagonal in the resulting parallelogram.
On opposite sides of both profile pipes we draw diagonally, similar to the original ones, and at the top points we connect their ends with a transverse straight line. By using Bulgarians Using the created markings, we form the connecting ends in two profile pipes of different shapes and sizes.
After removing the cut fragments, we bring the formed ends of the profile pipes into contact, as a result of which they touch tightly without a gap and exactly form a right angle, which is confirmed by checking with a standard metal square.
