In the household or workplace, sometimes there is no standard clamp at hand to securely secure the hose to the pipe for supplying water for certain needs. In this case, you can use simple and inexpensive materials and tools that are at our disposal or can be easily purchased.

How to secure a hose to a pipe using wire, a nut and a rivet gun

We wrap the hose put on the end of the pipe with soft annealed wire, bring its ends together, put a small nut on them and, using the force of our fingers, lower it down along the wires as far as possible.

Then we insert the ends of the wire into the working hole of the riveter and push the nut even lower, achieving the maximum possible crimp of the hose put on the pipe with the wire loop.

Next, we bend the ends of the wire to the sides above the nut and down, bite off the wires below the nut with wire cutters and hammer them to the hardware with a hammer. This fastening of the hose to the pipe will not loosen until it is specially dismantled.

How to simply and securely attach a hose to a pipe using a bolt and two nuts

We screw 2 nuts onto the bolt, clamp it in a vice and use a drill to drill a through transverse hole in the bolt shaft under the head.

Using a grinder, we make longitudinal slots on two parallel faces of the nuts, but not completely.

We wrap a wire loop around the hose put on the pipe, bring its ends together, pass them through the hole in the bolt rod, and the nuts should be located on both sides of the hole, and the slots on them coincide with the hole in the bolt rod.

We place the ends of the wire loop into the slots in the nuts, bend them in opposite directions and bite off the excess ends. Using two open-end wrenches, rotate the outer nut clockwise and the inner nut counterclockwise.

As a result, the wire clamp is tightened, and the hose is firmly fixed to the pipe.

How to secure a hose to a pipe using a standard bolt and two nuts

We clamp the bolt in a vice and, using a grinder, make longitudinal cuts that do not reach its middle, on opposite sides, including its head.

We wrap a wire loop around the hose placed on the pipe, insert the ends of the wires into the bolt slots so that they rise above the bolt head. Moreover, it is necessary to screw 2 nuts onto the bolt in advance.

Then, holding the bolt by the head with a wrench, use another to tighten the top nut to the bolt head as far as possible. We also screw the bottom nut as far as possible towards the hose and pipe. As a result, the hose is firmly fixed to the pipe.
