Booties “Marshmallows”

With winter and cold weather approaching, we all want warmth more and more. It is especially worth taking care of the comfort of children's feet. One of my most wonderful finds in the field of knitting was charming bright, easy-to-wear booties. I would like to share with you the process of making wonderful, delicate “Marshmallow” booties. It is best to use children's yarn to knit a multi-colored miracle; it is very delicate, soft and non-prickly. Most often, its composition is as follows: 40% wool, 60% acrylic. We knit booties for size 24, which is approximately 1.5 - 2 years old (up to 15 cm).



To work you will need:
- Yarn:
100 g gray yarn.
100 g pink yarn.
- Knitting needles No. 2.5.
- Needle with a large eye.
- Scissors.
- A great desire to give joy to your baby.



Description of work:
• First, you need to cast on 32 loops from double thread on the knitting needles (we knit together with gray and pink thread).



• We knit 69 rows in garter stitch (we knit all rows with knit stitches).
• Having knitted 69 rows, on the 70th row we close off 15 loops. We still have 17 that we will continue to work with.



• Then we separate the threads and start knitting as follows:
Row 1. Pink thread.Face loops.
Row 2. Pink thread. Purl loops.
Row 3. Pink thread. Face loops.
Row 4. Pink thread. Purl loops.
Row 5. Pink thread. Face loops.
Row 6. Gray thread. Face loops.
Row 7. Gray thread. Purl loops.
Row 8. Gray thread. Face loops.
Row 9. Gray thread. Purl loops.
Row 10. Gray thread. Face loops.



! Please pay special attention to the fact that when moving from one color to another, the row is repeated (the front row is with pink thread and the front row is with gray thread).
• Repeat this pattern until you have six pink and five gray stripes.
• We close the row on the pink thread.



• We begin to sew the booties. To do this, it is most convenient to use a needle with a large eye, into which we thread any of the threads (pink or gray).
1. Sew the main part with an additional side consisting of 17 loops.
2. Sew, using a needle “through the top”, along the upper striped edge and tighten the thread.
3. Sew, using a needle “through the top”, along the bottom striped edge and tighten the thread.
4. Sew the base of the booties.
5. Let's start decorating. Here you can use your imagination; pom-poms, knitted flowers, large buttons, and beads are suitable.
