Panel translated from French means “piece of fabric.” But if you look at what compositions skilled craftswomen can make, you can’t call them anything other than works of decorative art. Back in the 18th century, churches and halls on the estates of rich people were decorated with mosaic panels. Modern panels have ceased to be a luxury item. Nowadays it is rather an indicator of the taste of the owners of the house.
The materials for making this kind of masterpiece can be varied. I suggest trying to make a panel from newspaper tubes.

For this we need:
- newspapers or magazines with bright pictures;
- PVA glue;
- knitting needle;
- white paper A5 format;
- frame;
- beads for decoration.

we will need

First you need to cut a newspaper or magazine into strips. Them for crafts you need about 30 pieces.

cut the newspaper

Lubricate the edge of the strip generously with PVA glue.

generously coat with glue

We turn the corner. And we begin to twist the strip into a tube.

Turning the corner

At the end, apply a layer of glue and hold the edge for a couple of seconds so that the tube does not unwind.

Take a colored bead. We wind the tube onto it so that it turns out to be a “snail”. We attach the edge to the base using PVA glue.

Let's wind it up

To make panels you need “snails” of different sizes. To increase the diameter, you need to glue a second one to the edge of the first tube. Then glue the second one to the third one, etc. We increase the tubes until we get the desired size.

Extending the tubes

The next step is to form a pattern from the “snails”. To do this, take an empty frame and place the “snails” in it in a chaotic manner. Next, we glue all the details to the base of the panel.

This craft can be hung on the wall in the hallway. And all guests, upon crossing the threshold of the house, will see an original craft made by themselves. In addition, with the help of panels you can hide minor repair errors or stains on the wall.
Good luck!
