An ordinary plastic canister of water in the trunk of a car is needed at least to wash your hands after minor repairs on the road or loading goods that dirty your hands. The inconveniences are obvious: you need to pull the canister out of the trunk, unscrew the neck cap, and tilt it. But if you embed a faucet into it, you can get rid of all the problems at once.

The process of inserting a tap into a plastic container with a narrow neck
The difficulty is that the canister usually has a narrow neck and it is impossible to stick your hand through to hold the fitting to secure it from the outside with a nut. You can insert the fitting into the neck cap and screw a tap with a flexible hose to it, so as not to pull the canister out of the trunk. But as the water is consumed and a vacuum is created, the water stops flowing out.You need to make a hole for air intake and glue, for example, the neck of a plastic bottle with a lid. When there is no longer a need for water, the lids are tightly screwed on and the canister is stored in the trunk. But it is safer and more practical to cut a special fitting into the canister, the thread of which consists of two parts, different in diameter and direction.
We drill a hole in the bottom of the canister and trim the edges with a knife.
We throw the fitting into the neck of the container with the gasket on, but without the tightening nut. Shaking the container, insert the fitting into the hole, and holding it with a socket wrench, tighten the nut.
We screw a tap with a flexible hose onto the fitting.
Now, if necessary, you can use water from the canister without taking it out of the trunk. It is enough to take the end of the hose outside the machine and open the tap. Air will flow into the canister through the slightly unscrewed top cap.
