If your old blender is outdated in aesthetic and moral terms, and for these reasons turned out to be unnecessary in the kitchen, then it can be easily and at great expense converted into a mini-drill (Dremel) and used in a home workshop in a different capacity. The process of transforming an old blender into a mini drill (Dremel)
Using a hand screwdriver, unscrew the fastening screw and separate the body of the old blender (but with a working drive!) into halves.
Using pliers or a similar tool, remove the standard plastic adapter from the splined shank of the drive shaft. We won't need it anymore.
In place of the removed standard adapter, we install a steel adapter sleeve with a threaded section for the clamping chuck. In order for the adapter sleeve to “sit” securely on the splined shank of the drive shaft, we screw into its transverse threaded holes and tighten the clamps with external threads using a hex L-shaped wrench.
The clamping chuck will subsequently be screwed onto the external thread of the adapter sleeve.
But before that, we connect the halves of the blender body again, cut off a cylindrical annular protrusion using a hacksaw with a cutting blade, which we modify (round the edges, remove burrs) with a hand file.
Now all we have to do is fix the housing halves again using the locking screw and screw the clamping chuck onto the threaded part of the adapter. By securing the necessary tools in it one by one, we can quickly and with high quality clean the surfaces of metal parts from rust and various contaminants, drill holes in wood and plastic, grind metal surfaces, etc.
