The most common tools of the summer resident, gardener and gardener are a shovel, a rake and a hoe. They have one advantage - they are simple and there is nothing to break in them. There are a lot of disadvantages: low productivity, high consumption of physical energy, no joy from work, etc. If you make a homemade device and a set of tools for it, you can speed up the cultivation of the land, at the same time not get tired and get joy from working in the country, in the garden or garden.
Basic device
It is a structure made from a profile square pipe with a vertical bend towards the end.
A bicycle handlebar or a nickel-plated pipe bent in a similar way is attached to the upper end, which can be adjusted in height to ensure ease of operation.
A front bicycle wheel is welded to the lower end of the frame along with the fork, which rolls along the ground when cultivating the soil, providing support and reducing resistance to tool movement.
Between the bend of the frame and the wheel fork there are points for fastening and adjusting tools for cultivating the soil. They are made of profile square pipes, in which holes are drilled for fixing and adjusting tools.
Set of tools for tillage
A dovetail-shaped tool with pointed edges is used to destroy weeds and loosen the soil between rows. It is attached with two pins to two transverse square tube posts on the frame using bolts and nuts. There are several holes on the posts of the mounting unit and on the pins, so it is possible to adjust the depth of loosening the soil.
After securing the ripper, the device is installed in the row spacing and moves forward with periodic rollback to clean the cutting edges of the tool from adhering soil and accumulated weeds.
If the soil is wet, then the row spacing is treated with a ripper made from a round rod with a diameter of 8-10 mm. It is attached to the frame in the same way as the dovetail ripper. Its peculiarity is that it does not cut weeds, but pulls them out of the ground and collects them on rods.
After inter-row loosening of the soil, plants, for example, potatoes, are earthed up using a plow-hiller, which consists of two plowshares welded at an angle with the nose pushed forward from below.
It is this tool that ensures an easy, quick and effective operation, which is hilling plants, compared to a conventional hoe or hoe.
