Applique “Christmas tree” made of yarn

The New Year is already approaching with easy steps, and people of different generations and ages are preparing to celebrate it. When decorating the interior, most people use classic lanterns, rain, and garlands. Those who like to create with their own hands, creating unique and original crafts, strive to bring the most eccentric ideas to life. We invite you to try your hand at creating a simple applique that your children will be happy to help you make.
For the application we will need literally a few items:
yarn (not too thin) of a green tone (after all, the Christmas tree does not come in any other color) - literally 4-4.5 meters is enough;
a simple pencil;
glue “Moment” (universal) or PVA;
scissors;
A5 cardboard (half a landscape sheet) of gray color (you can use yellow if you wish, white is the background on which the Christmas tree will be located);
shiny candy wrappers, sequins, foil, rhinestones or any shiny confetti;
agile and hardworking hands.



Operating procedure:
1. Prepare 3 strands of yarn 130 - 150 centimeters long.We tie one end of all three threads into a modest knot. We place the knot under something heavy to fix it (for example, a table lamp), and braid it. At the end of the braid we make a knot again.





2. Take a sheet of cardboard and draw the outline of the future Christmas tree with a simple pencil.





3. Apply a thin layer of glue along the contour and immediately glue the braid woven from yarn strictly along the line. The Christmas tree is ready.
4. From candy wrappers, cut out circles with a diameter of no more than a centimeter. We chop the foil, some candy wrappers, and sequins.
5. Decorate the Christmas tree in any shape. There are two options for decorating your Christmas tree.





This applique can be used as a decorative element of the New Year's interior, or as a New Year's gift to loved ones.
