To create this original box you will need:
• mobile phone box, scissors, needle and thread;
• a piece of pink satin and double-sided tape;
• width of organza ribbon: white - 5 cm, yellow - 4 cm, orange and light green - 2.5 cm each, a piece of tulle;
• the width of white and yellow floral braid and white openwork braid for gifts is 4 cm;
• a thread of small white beads, 3 large pearl beads, two gold rings;
• stamens are white and orange.
Initially, you need to make the box itself, and then start decorating it.
So, carefully disassemble the box and lay it out on the fabric. Make 1 cm allowances on all sides and cut.
Using double-sided tape, cover the box with satin (lightly singe the edges of the fabric to avoid fraying). Hem the fabric joint on the lid from the inside out with matching threads. On the front side of the bottom of the box, use a hidden seam to sew the satin where it is applied.
Using polymer glue, secure the floral braid around the perimeter of the box lid (glue yellow braid flowers on the corners, then white braid).In order to close the fabric joint at the end of the box lid, sew a thread of beads with a hidden seam.
Let's start making organza flowers and leaves to decorate the lid.
White flower. You will need 21cm of white tape, 5cm wide. Stitch in six U-bends, leaving a 3mm seam allowance on each raw edge.
Evenly distributing the folds, pull the ribbon and, having formed a flower, secure the thread.
Twist together 5 pairs of white stamens. Secure them in the center of the flower.
Yellow flower. Take 21 cm of yellow ribbon with a width of 4 cm. Stitch the same as for the white flower and form the petals. For the middle, twist 3 pairs of white stamens.
Orange flower. You will need an orange ribbon with a width of 2.5 cm and a length of 27 cm. Lay a zigzag stitch and pull the tape tightly. Fasten the thread.
Fold 3 pairs of orange stamens in half and sew along the ribbon gather line.
At the base of the orange flower, sew 2 pointed leaves with ruffles from light green organza. For each leaf, use 6 cm of ribbon with a width of 2.5 cm. Then fold the ribbon as shown in the photo. Place 2 folds on both sides and stitch along the bottom edge.
Make 3 “Sail” leaves. For each leaf you need to take 13 cm of ribbon with a width of 2.5 cm, fold it in half and bend the corners.
Starting at the corner, sew stitches along the fold along an inclined line downwards, then along a straight line and again along an inclined line upwards. Tighten the tape and secure.
Using a piece of light green ribbon and 3 pearl beads, make an open pea pod.
From individual elements (stem, leaves, pod) assemble a composition with an orange flower.
Composition “Wedding rings”. Cut a circle with a diameter of 4 cm from tulle.Gather lightly in the middle with thread. Using glue, secure the rings to the tulle.
Place the elements of the composition on the lid of the box. Make marks with a pencil and apply glue to these places. Attach all the elements of the composition.
Using double-sided tape, attach a 4 cm wide patterned white braid to the sides of the box.
